Hermione Granger was bored and wanted something new. She changed her job, her car, her flat and her hair, and now she did something completely “un-Hermione” and she decided to go on a blind date. Why was her blind date with her new boss Draco Malfoy? And why did she have the feeling that he had arranged the whole thing?
Draco turned around and walked away from her. She stayed frozen on the spot, and wondered what had just occurred? She looked at her arm, where his hand had just been, and she realized that she found Draco Malfoy slightly appealing, and gee, that was something new for Hermione Granger, too. Hermione Granger is a Private Investigator, but her latest case is one that she only accepts because her conscience dictated that she do so.
Hermione looked out the train window and everything seemed familiar, it felt right. She was going home, back to Hogwarts. One question needed asked, why was Malfoy on the train. The answer? He was leaving home, and he had no where else to go.
Set after the war, Hermione decides to go back to finish her education. Draco Malfoy is sent back to school, because his parents are both in prison. This unlikely pair will forge a bond that will take them from the comfort of a familiar place, and challenge them as they have never been challenged before. In the end all that matters is that they will have each other, and their love for each other will get them through.

Was it more painful to remember, or was it just easier to forget? Draco Malfoy wanted nothing more than to forget his feelings, and to forget his past, but he wore them around his neck like an anchor. Hermione Granger had worked hard to stop feeling, and when she left her past behind, somehow, in the process, she forced herself to stop remembering everything painful in her life.
Their lives were intertwined; their past, present, and future, and that was the reason for their ambiguous feelings. Forced together to face their future, perhaps they can help each other conquer feelings unknown...for him, he just might feel again, for her, she might remember what it feels like to love again. Draco Malfoy didn't want to see her again, but he had no choice. She was working for him, appraising valuables that he obtained when he acquired an old estate, and he would just have to put up with her. He thought it would be painful, meeting her again, talking to her, but she was pleasant. Friendly. What was wrong with her? What was wrong with him?
He found himself thinking about her. He even entertained the thought of asking her out on date. Maybe she would give him a kiss goodnight. What was wrong with him? Was he smitten with Granger?
Pulled into a mystery surrounding an old house, and an old book, he finds more than he was bargaining for, and he didn't want to fall in love with her. He also didn't want her to come to any danger. He would have been happy with a simple kiss goodnight. (banner by me)

Draco Malfoy literally saved Hermione Granger's life, by killing his own father. He claimed he didn't do it for her, he claimed he did it for himself. She didn't care why he did it, she only knew that she had to repay the debt.
She repaid the debt by taking the blame for killing Snape, though Draco was the guilty party. She also arranged for Draco's release from jail. She also did these for her own selfish reasons. She wanted someone's pain to end, and since she couldn't end her own pain, perhaps she could end his.
Draco told her he hated her, and he wanted her to leave him alone. So, that's what she did. So why was he now at her door, claiming he was sorry, claiming he was wrong, claiming that he never hated her. He told her he loved her. She knew differently. Hers was not a life that was worth loving. (Banner by me)

Hermione Granger already had one bad marriage, and she wasn’t looking for another, however, when her husband left her, he also left her with a lot of debt. If she wants to keep her business and her home, she has to come up with some money, fast.
Playboy Draco Malfoy didn’t care if he ever married, however, he was fast approaching his 30th birthday, and along with that approaching birthday was the awful truth staring him in the face…he had to marry, and soon, if he wanted to inherit his family's fortunate and his father’s business.
Therefore, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy decided to enter into a business arrangement, or in other words, a marriage most convenient. She would marry him so he could inherit his fortune. He would marry her so that she could keep her business, her house…and her daughter? Wait? Did Draco know that she had a daughter? And why did she have grey eyes, blond hair, and look an awful lot like him?

Hermione Granger sat at her desk at work and wondered something: If a tree fell on her head in the middle of the woods, and no one was around to hear her scream, did that mean she would be alone for the rest of her life? Those were the weird thoughts that plagued her mind. Her best friends told her she was looking for Mr. Perfect, and he might not exist, but what was wrong with waiting for what you want? Why settle for less?
She thought Draco Malfoy was close to being Mr. Perfect, but he didn't think of her in the same way that she thought of him. She even told her friends she was going to marry him some day.
Draco gave her some advice, he told her not to look for 'Mr. Right', because he might not be out there. He told her to look for 'Mr. Right Now.' How can she tell him that she found her 'Mr. Right', and it was him.

Sometimes a person feels like they don't belong anywhere. Hermione felt like she didn't belong in the Magic world, or the Muggle world. She had regrets, and she had made mistakes, but all she wanted was to belong... somewhere, anywhere. Draco could help her belong, if she would only let him. He knew right where she belonged, she belonged with him. (This story won Best Episkey Award D/Hr at the New Library Awards! Thanks to all who voted.)

Hermione Granger works for the Department of Mysteries. Her current task is to examine dark objects. She needs help, so the Minister of Magic gives her a 'dark object expert' to help her with her work. Little did she know the 'expert' was none other than Lucius Malfoy. She would rather die than accept his help. That's the problem, she just might die, if one object does its job.
He finds her incredibly irritating, very annoying, and extremely pretty. He will find helping her no problem at all, except when one object might just be the death of her, then, he will find himself in a reluctant obligation to save her life. He would just let her die, but he finds her quite fetching these days. If he has to save her life, he will, but he will want repayment of some type. Will she repay the debt that is owed him for saving her life?

Draco Malfoy had changed, but no one knew it. He didn't care. Let them point and stare. It didn't bother him. He wasn't distressed by it. He could change a thousand times over, and he would still have to pay for his sins. Hermione Granger knew he had changed, and he didn't even have to tell her. She just knew it. She had changed, too. Once he thought he hated her, but now, for some reason, he wanted to protect her, get to know her, and dare he think...love her as well.

Everyone deserves a second chance. A second chance at love, life and happiness. Hermione was no exception. After a recent break-up, she was ready for her second chance. However, she never imagined in a million years that her second chance would come by way of Draco Malfoy, or that she would be giving him his own second chance.
