When I saw that there was a category for Hermione/Moody stories, I said to myself "Whaaaaaaaat?!?  Hermione and Moody?  You gotta be kidding -- that's almost as farfetched as Hermione and Dumbledore!"  However, this story is delightfully creative and poignant.  I rather like the idea of Hermione falling in love with a younger version of Moody...rough edges and all (maybe my penchant for men with reddish hair has something to do with it).

Makes me fill up every time. I love this story.

It's an even more potent tear maker for me since I recently separated from my wife. I only get to see my own son at the weekends now so this ending always kills me.

I know my last review got lost in the transfer so I wanted to replace it with a new one.

I feel like the main female in the story didn't necessarily have to be Hermione considering he doesn't even discuss meeting with her in the future...

Oh my, so good and so sad at the same time.

It was both heartwarming as well as heartbreaking. Excellent writing. Moody was always a favorite of mine. When J.K. killed him off, it was the one that I had the biggest reaction to when I read it. I'm glad you found a way for him to have a happy ending. Good luck and I hope to read more of your work in the future.

hmm.. i was weary at ready this and kept passing it up but finally because it was a oneshot and i like you as an author i tried it.

and of course the first thing i wish was that it wasnt a oneshot. but we know so little about alastor that it would have been hard. though i wish we got to see his reaction at meeting her again before his death and and views on that.

i liked how it was a time turner fic but totally in the pov of the nontimetraveler. that definately made it interesting (not to mention that its alastor.)

This was very original and refreshing to read--not many people bother delving into Moody's history. I've never really thought of a time-turner fic with Hermione and Moody, but it's an interesting idea. I guess I've never really considered why Moody is so driven in his fight against dark wizards, and that something similar to what you say (perhaps not with Hermione!) must have occurred to him.

I like fanfics that make me think. :)

Aww, how sweet, bitterly so, but none the less...I'm happy that they love each other and are together again!  Great job of keeping him in character.

oh that made me cry. just utterly lovely and sad and slightly hopeful at the end.
And the last line is a killer.

Wow.  That's a pairing I've never even thought of before.  It was a sad, but really sweet story.  I like how it showed a different side of Moody.  Even in his gruffness, he came across as sweet man.  I really loved it.

Your summary is the only reason I read this story.  Then when I was worried about it being Alastor.  You kept me from going ick by not being graphic with their "togetherness".  I was able to enjoy the story for its meaning and plot then.  Excellently done.
