Failure to reply to emails (we will send out two during the exchange) will result in your fic being reassigned.
The exchange is SECRET. Fics must not be posted on any other platform or site until the exchange reveal has occurred. Please limit the people who see your fic to your alpha reader and beta reader.
If you have any problems please contact us immediately. We will do our best to match each author with a proper recipient but unfortunately due to the nature of the exchange you might only find one prompt that you like or one pairing that you can write.

Hi everyone and thanks for voting in our latest poll!!
The winner is...
EPILOGUE DIDN'T EXIST EXCHANGE!!
So what does an exchange entail and how does it work?
1. We take expressions of interest. This exchange will be capped at 30 authors each writing one fic for each other.
2. One shots and multi chapter are permitted but must be complete by the due date.
3. Please don't express interest unless you plan on signing up as it wastes our time and I detest that.
4. Authors will be given two months to complete their fic.
5. Authors will be paired with recipients based on preference eg:- pairings, kinks, squicks etc
How does it work?
Once we've reached our 20 author cap (this number may change with expression of interest) we will post a new news item with a template to follow ( this template will have what you wish to write and three to five pairings and prompts that you'd like to receive) Once you have filled in this template it will be emailed to Admin and the pairings will be begin. After your recipient has been emailed to you the writing will begin!!
The topic will be EPILOGUE DOESN'T EXIST
That means the DEATHLY HALLOWS did exist and your fic should include canon after this book and not fanon timelines, this also means that you can write any pairings, any topic as long as the pairings reflect canon deaths. Eg:- Remus didn't live but you can bring him back using magic etc, Voldemort is dead but doesn't have to stay dead etc
Unfortunately due to previous exchanges we will not be accepting new unpublished authors for this exchange. You must be a published GE author to participate in this exchange.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello to all of our fabulous authors. This year instead of an exchange we have decided to issue Granger Enchanted’s Visions of Sugar Plums Challenge, which basically is asking you to write a Hermione-centric story of your choice; it can be as long or as short as you desire. The sky is the limit, this is not to add to your holiday stress, but to add some fun and the opportunity to read a new story!!!
Boughs of holly
I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.
The Heart of Yule is evergreen, the old year gone, the new pristine, the wheel again will turn to spring, this blessed time much joy to bring.
“I heard the bells on Christmas Day, Their old, familiar carols play, And wild and sweet, The words repeat, Of peace on earth, good-will to men!”
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
“Santa Claus has nothing to do with it," the latke said. "Christmas and Hanukah are completely different things." "But different things can often blend together," said the pine tree. "Let me tell you a funny story about pagan rituals.”
I believe... I believe... It's silly, but I believe.
-Susan, ‘Miracle on 34th Street’
Have yourself a merry little Christmas, let your heart be light, from now on your troubles, will be out of sight.
-‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, Judy Garland
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose, Yuletide carols being sung by a choir and folks dressed up like Eskimos.
-‘The Christmas Song’, Mel Torme
The holly and the ivy
When they are full grown,
Of all the trees in the wood
The holly bears the crown.
The rising of the sun
The running of the deer,
The playing of the organ
Sweet singing in the choir.
-‘The Holly and the Ivy’, Unknown author
You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel,
You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel.
--When The Grinch Stole Christmas’ Dr. Seuss
Sleigh bells ring
Are you listening
In the lane
Snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
-Walking In A Winter Wonderland, Felix Bernard

I am starting a new website for fiction book reviews and would be interested in hearing your thoughts. The website will be run off the GE servers and has a tentative name of The Book Bitches or The Bibliophiles.
i am hoping for ten book reviewers (on a volunteer basis) who read at least a book a week and have a goodreads account.
I would also need someone with graphic knowledge to made a header (lol because I'm rubbish at it)
if anyone is interested please comment here :) or message me on the GE Facebook page.

Menu of tantalizing prompt temptations for your reluctant muse ~
Pansy read Hermione's list and then started laughing. "Damn, Granger! You just described someone we both know. Is this truly your dream wizard?" Not expecting her question to be answered, she tossed the bit of parchment to the desk and the two unlikely friends walked away. Neither witch considered that the information contained on that list could be used as a weapon should it be discovered.
“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.”
r13; Dr. Seuss
“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

Letterbox rollercoaster Morning Froth Compass
Anyway, the thing is, what I really mean - yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen. Elton John

We'd seen each other in a dream,
It seemed like he knew me,
He looked right through me . . . .

PS ~ Huge props go to Meiri and Sirsevchick for the amazing prompts!
Please join me in saluting a wonderful author for the month of June! She has written many amazing, character driven stories that capture the imagination and prove the belief that there are alternatives to that epilogue.
Take a look at her stories, some featured below. Her entire list is worth reading. She has been both eloquent and prolofic. Leave her some review love for all the detailed, beautifully nuanced stories!! Eilonwy, we salute you.
At GE there are so many wonderful writers but without a doubt one of everyone's favorites is DarkRiverTempest. She is a prolific writer with a knack for making the stories seem so believable that we hate to see them come to an end.
Check out the featured stories and happy reading!
Over the next three weekends, our Beltane warriors will need some assistance polishing their drabble entries in time for the Sunday evening deadlines for the Beltane Drabble Wars. If you are a beta, please consider showing participating authors your support.
Authors and betas alike: please remember that stories have a minimum word count of 100 words and a maximum of 1,500 words.
If you are willing and able to help, please comment below with the following:
- which weekends you are available,
- the best way for authors to contact you,
and your approximate turn around time for fics:
- >500 words,
- 500-1,000 words, and
- 1,000-1,500 words.
Thank you in advance. I know that our authors will appreciate your efforts. :)
Beltane Drabble War
Stories should be no shorter than 100 words and no greater than 1500 words.
Your stories will be inspired by the prompts posted over at the Owl Post Forum. Brandy01 has graciously volunteered to make banners for your drabbles and we squish her and her lovely gifts of such beneficence. Due to site restrictions, banners may be used only on your personal LJ.
Using word prompts, manips, pictures, art, quote, etc. you can choose a prompt and submit a story either directly using your prompt or inspired by your prompt.
New prompts will be available every Friday during the war. Please only use the current week’s prompts.
. Pairing is up to you. If you are writing Hermione with a Malfoy, you may post it to either Granger Enchanted or Malfoy Manor. If Hermione is being paired with anyone else, it must be posted to Granger Enchanted.
You can write as many drabbles as you feel inspired to write per week, but each story can only be posted to GE or MM, not both. After the war is over, feel free to cross post your stories.
Each story should be submitted no later than April 13th for the first week, no later than the 20th for the second week and no later than the 27th for the third week. After all the stories are posted, there will be a poll for voting at each site’s LJ page. Voting will close for the first week on the 17th, for the second week on the 24th and for the third week on May 1st. Entries submitted to GE will be voted on at the GE LJ site and entries submitted to MM will be voted on at the MM LJ site.
All stories must be beta read and will be subject to submission standards. Please post the prompt you used in the author’s notes.
Go pick a prompt and get started!
I cannot wait to read the amazing stories I know you will be writing.
For questions regarding the Beltane Drabble War, please leave a comment below.

The stories from the Christmas Exchange are now being posted at Malfoy Manor. There are only a few up at the moment, with more to follow later in the week. We hope to have them all up and ready for you all to enjoy before Christmas day!
In the meantime, happy reading and writing!
Thank you to everyone who has participated in this exchange!
Posting of our exchange stories will begin this weekend, so there will be many lovely stories to head over to the Manor to read and review! I know all of our participants have been waiting very patiently to recieve their gifts. Alas, real life does get in the way, and sometimes our muses do not cooperate when there is a deadline. To those who have yet to complete their exchange entries, we would be extremely grateful if you could scrape something together and get them in by Sunday so that they can be posted early next week.
Thanks in advance, and as always HAPPY READING! :D
