Secret Santa!!

I have only received requests by two authors for extensions and have yet to hear back from anyone else regarding their fics. There are only five days to get your fic into me, beta read, formatted and ready to be posted.

If youhave committed to writing a fic for the Secret Santa exchange, the time has passed to drop out or request a pinch hit take your assignment.

Let me tell you I will be very very very ANGRY if anyone drops out at this stage, so close to Christmas and you can be assured that you probably won't be published here ever again.

To some I know this sounds incredibly harsh but I take promises very seriously and someone has written a gift for you in good faith of receiving one in return.

Please alert me to any problems you are having, because if I do not know about them then I cannot help you!!

I've got a problem... there's a scary woman shouting at me, telling me to make sure my story is finished very soon or she'll beat me up and... oh, wait... that's you! Ahem... never mind... as you were! :)

- Nathaniel Cardeu on 04/12/2011 - 10:52 am

Mistress is anyone needs a cheerleader, or a bouncer for ideas..I'm available

- jamies_lady on 04/12/2011 - 11:37 am

Mine is almost ready!!!! I am so excited!

- DHLane on 04/12/2011 - 01:58 pm

I've finished and it's being betaed! You'll have it in the next day or so. I did say I'd be a pinch hitter and I still mean that. I can write a short fic (say a couple of thousand words) pretty quickly - ie in a couple of days. It may not be brilliant, but it will be there. But if anyone is in need, they need to speak now or forever hold their peace. I know what it's like to be let down - my original author and then my pinch hitter apparently dropped out of the SS/HG exchange. I got a lovely gift, but it was not even close to my original prompts which disappeared without a trace.

- laurielove on 04/12/2011 - 02:01 pm

laurie, I can't get it ready for time at all and muse is playing on another story, however if you send me your prompts I will do my best (No ron though please, unless he's getting beaten to a pulp.)

- Savva on 04/12/2011 - 02:11 pm

I thought I sent you my completed fic... Didn't I?  It is ready, and please let me know if I need to send it again.

- blue artemis on 04/12/2011 - 02:36 pm

If you need a pinch-hitter, I'm available.

- blue artemis on 04/12/2011 - 02:41 pm

Jamie's lady - you need to send me YOUR prompts! Or rather, the ones you were sent originally to write about. It may be best to go through the site or MM though. But I will do it - just hope they're not prompts which will require epically long stories! I can't manage more than a couple of thousand words.

- laurielove on 04/12/2011 - 04:19 pm

Hang on! I completely misinterpreted that, JL!! You don't need a pinch hitter, do you? You were offering to be mine! We've both got completely the wrong end of the stick! I don't need a pinch hitter - I've finished my fic. But I don't think you do either, do you? Umm ... sniggering away at complete crap communication all round! What are we like?

- laurielove on 04/12/2011 - 04:21 pm

I'm not signed up...I was offering to write the story you wanted writen, the one you offered the prompts for....

- jamies_lady on 04/12/2011 - 04:55 pm

I'm done and I've sent it to be beta last week. I told her to go through it very, very carefully, since I won't get to read it through a million times after posting. I was just thinking about how I saw that some people said they hadn't even started and how sad I would be if MY prompts were one of the ones that they were supposed to write for and then they dropped the ball...that being said, if (and that's a giant IF) someone does drop the ball at this late stage, I will try to write another one-shot. I can probably do it pretty quickly.

The one I wrote was a longer one-shot, but truthfully, I wrote most of it in one day.

Also, if someone can't finish theirs, I will drop out as a receiver and the one written for me can go to another person, even if it will have my prompts.

Jodes - do we send the finish products to the Livejournal accounts. I deleted my original email. Looked everywhere for it. Sorry.

Isn't it nice to belong somewhere where every one pitches in to ensure no-one (and yes bunnyhops it has a hyphon!) misses out on their christmas gift?

so many offers to step in. Well done MM for bringing us together under one banner

Since I'm not a fast writer, I can't offer to pitch in at the last moment. However, I'm pretty good in brainstorming about plot lines, endings, et cetera if someone got stuck on their fic. So if anyone needs help with ideas in order to get their fic completed, I'm available. Just contact me on my livejournal (daxodokira) or PM me on ffnet (Nerys).

- bunnyhops on 06/12/2011 - 08:23 am

jamie's_lady - Thank you! You are a darling. To be honest, I posted the prompts on the epic number of pages and comments when the SS/HG exchange was launched this year on LJ, and I'm not sure if I can be bothered to trawl back through and find them. I can't remember what they were. If and when I find them, I'll send them your way simply as a matter of interest - I really really don't expect anything. They were pretty general, angsty, sexy sort of things. That's what I feel prompts should be - nothing too specific.

- laurielove on 06/12/2011 - 11:45 am

you are more than welcome...any time. Although I have to admit to laughing, I seem to have aquired a nest of plot kitties from somewhere. Please send them on

- jamies_lady on 06/12/2011 - 01:50 pm

I am so glad to have turned in my secret santa fic. YAY!!!!!!!!!!

- DHLane on 09/12/2011 - 11:19 pm

I'm forever grateful for Mellie!  Thanks for the emergency beta job, gorgeous :D

So, just wanting to throw this out there... no one does NOT have a hyphen. Just sayin! lol

Will there be really any such thing being a cell cell phone virus? Sure, there will be. While it isn't as dangerous being a computer virus it really is increasingly becoming a concern as a growing number of consumers shift from traditional cellular phones to multimedia system phones.

Cell technology has changed into a double-edged sword inside the enterprise area. While intelligent devices and also mobile software have pushed productivity inside mobile labourforce, they have created fresh challenges because of it infrastructure.

Cell Treasure Look Advertising can be a new marketing and advertising concept. It permits advertisers that will put their brand names, ads and also free special gifts onto an international prize guide for cell users to get via GPS DEVICE.
