Summary:

 

Severus is thrust into a coma after a near-brush with death following Nagini's bite in the Shrieking Shack. Hermione rescues him and nurses him back to health in a low-security, Ministry-run Manor-turned-hospital in the north of Scotland.  Terrible things are happening within the Ministry following the fall of Voldemort after what seemed like a cut-and-dry victory for the Order. The tendrils of intrigue, greed, lust, and betrayal leave no one untouched in these uncertain times when there is no rhyme or reason as to the Ministry's distribution of justice. It’s a race against time for the Order to crack the secrets of a Prophecy dating back to the time of Stonehenge. Hermione and Severus are dragged down by the undertow of evil by the Minister’s secret motives and the Order’s attempt to thrust them into a world so different from the one they once knew.  Severus must overcome many obstacles to get a shot at happiness, including duplicity on the part of his lover.
